Ubuntu Hair Studio provides more than just beautiful hair. WE ARE A TEAM UNITED IN "I AM BECAUSE WE ARE." Pronounced oo-BOON-too, Ubuntu is a traditional African concept based on the idea that a person is a person through other people. As Archbishop Desmond Tutu explains, "A person with Ubuntu is welcoming, hospitable, warm, generous; willing to share. Such people are open and available to others, willing to be vulnerable, affirming of others, do not feel threatened that others are able and good, for they have a proper self assurance that comes from knowing they belong to the greater whole."
The concept of Ubuntu is the cornerstone of how Ubuntu Hair Studio operates. We believe wholly, that together, we can make a difference. We hope to be the change we want to see in the world.
